Joachim Horsley Composer, Sound Designer, Producer Horsley´s work can be heard in films screening at festivals nation-wide including, The Sundance Film Festival 2009, South by Southwest, Cannes, Telluride, Palm Springs, Tribeca, Santa Barbara, Ft. Lauderdale, and many others. Recently, four of his films were finalists for the Student Academy Awards 2008, Including "Unattched", which won the Silver Student Academy Award (documentary category). He was recently awarded the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for his song "I Want Your Love", performed by his band LittleHorse. After graduating Skidmore in 2000 with a BA in Music Composition and Recording Engineering, he returned to his home town of Boston, MA, where he produced records with many musicians, including The Tower of Power Horns. In 2003, he was recruited by RK Music in New York, NY to score TV shows and promos airing on NBC, ABC, HBO, TruTV, A&E, The Biography Channel, The History Channel and The Travel Channel. In late 2004, he launched his studio LittleHorse Music & Audio in New York, where he specializes in music and audio services for independent films. In 2009 he moved his studio to Los Angeles, CA, and continues to work on both coasts. In addition to piano, Horsley plays electric bass, guitar, ukulele, charango, percussion, and sings. He is a member of ASCAP. |
